Origin of our Club

Tradition never change they merely are more or less enhanced. This was seen in the numerous activities of the Rotaract club of our college, which intends to expose the students' talent and scale greater heights in its services to the community.

The club was installed in the year 2000 in the midst of Rtn.S.Thanaraj President (2000), Rotary club of Perambalur preside over the installation, Rtn.K.Ravindrakumar DRC (2000) Rtr. PP.Jaiganesh DRR (2000) Karur and Rtn.PP.Dr.Varadharajan Chairman of Rover Educational Instiitutions were the chief guests.

Since its inception Rotaract Club of Dhanalakshmi Srinivasan College of Arts and Science for women is witnessing memorable events with its shelves filled with bunch of appreciations and blessings. The total strength of our club is 550(2012-2013) and 660(2013-2014).

Highlights

Received Presidential citation award and World Rotaract week celebration recognition pin from rotary international.

One of our student Rtr.RM.Rekha has been elected as District Rotaract Representative for the year 2010-2011. She was the first college based rotaractor and first lady rotaractor selected for the post.

Rotaract Club 2019 – 2020

On 8th July 2019 our club conducted “20th Installation of Office Bearers Programme” for our Rotaract members.Our Staff coordinator selected Rotaractors and bearers.And Our Respected Principal Prof S.H.Afroze invited as Chief Guest.
On 26th July 2019 our club conducted awareness programme about Degradable and Non-Degradable waste for our rotaractors.Prof Dr.Sangavai Department of Bio-Tech was invited as Chief Guest.
On 14th August 2019 YOGA TRAINING PROGRAMME was conducted for our club rotaractors to create awareness about yoga.Ms.R.Kavitha was invited as Resource person.Our Club President welcomed the gathering.
On 20th August 2019 pur club conducted NEW MEMBERS INDUCTION PROGRAMME was held at our college Auditorium.Our DRR Elect Rtr.Harish Vasan has explained about rotaract and the role of rotaractors.He explained about organizational structure of Rotaract.Rotaractors were eagerly listened the session and gave positive feedback.
On 6th September 2019, MENSTRUAL HYGIENE PROGRAMME was conducted by rotaractors.Dr.Devahi Department of Tamil was invited as Chief Guest and gave speech about hygiene and cleanliness during menstrual cycle.
On 24th september 2019, our club conducted Plastic awareness Rally from Collector office to our College in front of our honourable District Collect Mrs.Shantha I.A.S Perambalur. Rotaractors was participated and spreads plastic awareness.
On 12th December 2019, CAREER GUIDANCE PROGRAMME was conducted by Rotaractors. Prof.Mrs.Indhumathi HRDC was invited as Chief Guest and her speech inspired many pupil.And also gave positive feedback.
On 25th January 2020 our Rotaractors participated in VOTERS OATH TAKING PROGRAMME Conducted by all part 5 activity members.And all the members including our Rotaractors took Oath to vote.
On 18th February 2020 our club conducted MENSTRUAL HYGIENE PROGRAMME for 1st Under Graduate and 1st post graduate students.Our Rotaract Coordinator Prof Ms.Selvakumari explained about hygiene and cleanliness during menstrual cycle And also explained about the causes and effects of unhygienic habit during menstrual.
On 16th march 2020 ROTARACT WEEK CELEBRATION starts with CORONA AWARENESS PROGRAMME. Prof Dr.Devahi Department of Tamil was invited as Chief Guest. Rtr.Oviya gave awareness about corona and explained the steps about how to be hygiene and clean our hands and ourselves after a day out and before having food. Rotaract week celebration discontinued because of Corona Lockdown holidays.

Rotaract Club 2018 – 2019

On 29th june, we have conducted the special meeting for our rotaract members. Our staff coordinator selected rotaractors for the Award function which is going to be held in Trichy.
On 1st July, Award(2017-2018) Programme was held at National College, Trichy. Our club president Elect Rtr. S. Kaviya and past president Rtr. B. Pavithra has attended the programme. Our club received the special recognition award and Best Staff coordinator award.
On 3rd July, we have conducted the special meeting for our rotaract members. Our staff coordinator informed about the Election of the Office Bearers Programme which is going to be held on 05.07.2018 and also insisted the rotaractors to participate the election.
Election of the Office bearers for the academic year(2018-2019) tpok place on 5th july. The election was based upon voting system. Rotaractors were happy to elect Rtr S. Kavya as president and Rtr. Krishnapriya as Secretary. This meeting was presided by our staff coordinator Ms. S. Selvakumari. The meeting took place between 12.30pm and 2.00pm in our college Seminar hall.
Board meeting was arranged for the selected office bearers on 5th july itself. All of our office bearers introduced our self. The staff coordinator Ms. S. Selvakumari explained about the duties of office bearers and also insisted the President elect, Secretary elected to go to attend the PETS &SETS programme which is going to held at Madurai from 07.07.2018 to 08.07.2018.
Our President Rtr. Kavya, Rtr. Krishnapriya has participated in the PETS & SETS Programme which was held at Dohaimalai Engineering College, Madurai. DRR explained their year plan and launched the rotaract mobile app.
On 9th July the special meeting was arranged for the office bearers regarding the Installation programme. Work load was alloted to the office bearers for that programme. The programme agenda was prepared.
On 13th july, 19th july Installation of Office Bearers Programme was held at our college Auditorium. Our past President Rtr. B. Pavithra welcomed the gathering. Rtn. Vikranth Karmegam, invited as the chief guest. Rtn. M. Prabhu, president, Rotary Club of Perambalur invited as the Guest of Honour. Rtn. Vikranth Karmegam has installed the new team of Office bearers. President Rtr. S. Kaviya has delivered her acceptance speech and narrated her annual plan. The programme was facilitated by our Vice Principal, and Rtn. M. Prabhu., President, Rotary Club of Perambalur. The Club Secretary Rtr. Krishnaproya proposed the vote of thanks.
On 27th July, we have conducted the board meeting for our office bearers. All of our office bearers had attended the meeting. Our club Secretary Rtr.Krishnapriya delivered the July month report. Our President Rtr.S.Kaviya discussed about the August month plan. Our Staff coordinator wished our office bearers for their active participation and gave valuable suggestion. All the office bearers had given their different opinions to lead our club in the heights.
On 10th August, special meeting was conducted for our office bearers to participate the District Assembly in Trichy. Our staff coordinator instructed the office bearers to attend the assembly.
On 12th August, our club President Rtr.S.Mahalakshmi, Secretary Rtr.V.Pavithra, Directors of Community Service, Club Service, International Understanding, Professional Development, Public Relations,Treasurer and our Staff coordinator has participated in the District Assembly held at Indira Ganesan College of Engineering, Trichy. Mr. Paul Sushil has taken a session about Leadership and separate sessions were taken for the directors and other office bearers. Our Staff coordinator has taken a session for Club Service Directors. The District Assembly was very useful to the office bearers to develop their roles in the club.
On 13th August, special meeting was conducted for our rotaractors. Office bearers shared their experience which was gathered from the District Assembly on 12.08.18. Office bearers explained their plan which is going to do in the club and also motivated the rotaractors to do the project and also to attend the entire programme.
On 20th August special meeting was arranged for our office bearers regarding the “YOGA TRAINING PROGRAMME”. Work load was allotted to the office bearers for that programme. Agenda was also prepared.
On 21th August, YOGA TRAINING PROGRAMME was conducted for our club rotaractors to crate the awareness about yoga. Ms.R. Kavitha was invited as Resource Person. Our Club President welcomed the gathering. Rotaractors were eagerly participated in that programme. A power point presentation was also projected for the rotaractors about yoga. They exercised some of the yogasanas. The resource person explained about the benefits of yoga.
On 27th August, we have conducted the board meeting for our office bearers. All of our office bearers had attended the meeting. Our club Secretary Rtr.Krishnapriya delivered the August month report. Our President Rtr. T. Kavya discussed about the September month plan. All the office bearers had given their different opinions to lead our club in the heights. Our Staff coordinator wished our office bearers for their active participation and also told to prepare well for IA examinations.
On 6th September special meeting was arranged for our office bearers. Our staff coordinator selected rotaractors to participate in the rotaract RYLA in Moonaar.
On 3rd September to 6th September our club rotaractors had attended the Rotaract RYLA organized by the Rotary club of Bodinayakkanur at Moonaar. Our rotaractors had actively participated in the entire session and learned a lot from the RYLA.
On 18th September special meeting was arranged for our office bearers. The rylarians shared their experience with other rotaractors which was gained from the Rotarat Ryla.
On 27th September board meeting was arranged for our office bearers. Our club Secretary Rtr.Krishnapriya delivered the September month report. The Staff coordinator discussed about our future plans. She insisted our office bearers to concentrate in their academic exams.
On 3rd October special meeting was arranged for our office bearers regarding the District Ryla which is going to be held in Madurai from 25.2.2016 to 28.2.2016. Our club Staff Coordinator selected two students from our club to attend the Ryla.
On 5th October to 7th October, two of our rotaractors attended the District Ryla organized by the Rotary club of Madurai. Our club students have actively participated in the entire session and learned a lot from the RYLA. Our rotaractors team received the Best Team award and also Best Performance award.
On 9th October special meeting was arranged for our office bearers. The rylarians shared their experience with other rotaractors which was gained from the Rotarat Ryla. Our Staff coordinators congratulated the Rylarians for receiving awards and active participation. She informed about the New Members Induction and Orientation Programme. Work load was allotted to the office bearers and also prepared the programme agenda.
On 10th October, New Members Induction and Orientation programme was held at our college Auditorium. Our DRR Elect Rtr. Harish Vasan has explained about Rotaract and the roles of rotaractors. He explained about organizational structure of Rotaract. Rotaractors were eagerly listened the session and gave positive feedback.
On 22nd October board meeting was arranged for our office bearers. Our club Secretary Rtr.Krishnapriya delivered the September month report. The Staff coordinator discussed about our future plans. She insisted our office bearers to concentrate in their academic exams and score high marks.
On 17th December special meeting was arranged for our office bearers. Our staff coordinator informed us to do continue our programme.
On 28th December special meeting was arranged for our office bearers. Our staff coordinator informed about the Entrepreneurship Development Programme. Work load was allotted to the office bearers and also prepared the programme agenda.
On 29th December, Entrepreneurship Development Programme was arranged for our I-UG rotaractors. Mrs. Sarojnidevi, Asst.Prof, Department of Commerce invited as a resource.
person. She narrated entrepreneurship and also demonstrated how to make jewel ornaments from the paper like stud, chain. Students are eagerly attended the session.
On 30th December our club President conducted board meeting. All of our office bearers attended the meeting. Our club secretary delivered December month report. Our club president discussed about our future plans. Our staff coordinator conveyed the New Year wishes to the rotaractors.
On 4th January, special meeting was conducted for our office bearers to participate the Zonal Forum in Trichy. Our staff coordinator instructed the office bearers to attend the Zonal Forum in National College, Trichy.
On 5th January, our club rotaractors had participated in the Zonal Forum held at National College, Trichy. The Zonal Forum was very useful to the office bearers to develop their roles in the club.
On 7th January, special meeting was conducted for our rotaractors. The rotaractors who has attended the Zonal Forum shared their experience to others. Office bearers explained their plan which is going to do in the club and also motivated the rotaractors to do the project and also to attend the entire programme.
On 22nd January, the special meeting was arranged for the office bearers regarding the Literacy Programme and Tree Plantation Programme. Work load was allotted to the office bearers for that programme. The programme agenda was prepared.
On 23rd January, Literacy Programme was held at our college. Our club office bearers taught to our college sweepers, how to write their name in Tamil. The sweepers are eagerly written their name and also praised the rotaractors for their active performance. They gave positive feedback about the programme.
On 26th January, Tree Plantation programme was held at our college garden. Our club rotaractors planted the trees along with our college faculty members. They wrote the slogans related “Save Tree and Save Water”.
On 28th January, our club President Rtr.T. Kavya, conducted the board meeting for all of our office bearers. Our club Secretary delivered January Month Report. Our club president discussed about future plan.
On 11th February, special meeting was conducted for our office bearers regarding PETS & SETS Programme. Our staff coordinator insisted the President Elect and Secretary Elect to attend that programme.
On 16th and 17th February, our club President Elect and Secretary Elect had participated in the Pre PETS & SETS Programme at Hallmark Business School, Trichy. They learnt, what are the responsibilities and roles played in the club.
On 18th February, special meeting was arranged for our office bearers. The President Elect and Secretary Elect shared their experience with other rotaractors which was gained from the Pre PETS & SETS Programme.
On 27th January, our club President Rtr.T. Kavya, conducted the board meeting for all of our office bearers. Our club Secretary delivered February Month Report. Our club president discussed about future plan. She informed our rotaractors regarding awareness programme which is going to be held at Vidhyasaram School, Senjeri on 28.02.2019.
On 28th February, our club organized awareness programme at Vidhyashram School, Senjeri. Our club rotaractors has taken a session about Ethics of Life. The students gave positive feedback regarding that programme.
On 2nd March, the special meeting was arranged for the office bearers regarding the Awareness Programme at Senjeri. Work load was allotted to the office bearers for that programme. The programme agenda was prepared.
On 4th March, our club organized awareness programme at Vidhyashram School, Senjeri. Our club rotaractors has taken a session about Punctuality and Time Management.
The students gave positive feedback regarding that programme.
On 7th March special meeting was arranged for our office bearers. Our staff coordinator informed about the World Rotaract Week Celebration. Work load was allotted for our office bearers.
On 11th March World Rotaract Week Celebration inauguration were held at our college seminar hall. Our President Rtr. T. Kavya has welcomed the gathering. Our college Principal i/c and also our club advisor Prof. S.H.Afroze presided over the function. She has talked about the origin of Rotaract and also the purpose of the World Rotaract Week Celebration. Our college Vice Principal Prof. Gajalakshmi, Head department of Microbiology felicitated the gathering.
On 11th March 1st day of World Rotaract Week Celebration on “SELF HYGIENE” handled by Dr. Devaki, Asst.Professor, Dept. of Tamil, in our college. She has talked about how to clean our body from head to foot. She also told that what are the foods followed through our life. The session was useful for all the rotaract students.
On 12th March 2nd day of World Rotaract Week Celebration on “Benefits of Yoga” was effectively handled by Mrs.R. Kavitha, Asst. Professor in Manavalakalai Yoga. She said that what yoga is what the benefits are gained through regular exercises of Yoga. The session was useful for all the rotaract students.
On 13th March, 3rd day of World Rotaract Week Celebration “A Day With You” celebrated with Vidhyashram School student in Senjeri. We have conducted many games to the students and distributed prizes for the winners. The students were enjoyed a lot on that day.
On 14th March, 4th day of World Rotaract Week Celebration on “Self Development” handled by our rotaractors. They told a short story regarding self development and also explained what the opportunities available in the society are, and how to utilize that opportunity. They handled the session was very effective and motivated the students.
On 15th March, 5th day of World Rotaract Week Celebration on “Business Ethics” handled by Mrs. Deepalakshmi, Asst. Professor, Dept. Commerce from Dhanalakshmi Srinivasan College of Arts & Science for Women. She said that what is Bussiness and what is Ethics. She taught about the benefits of Business and also said that the business person has faced the profit and loss in an equal manner.
On 15th March, World Rotaract Week Celebration Valediction were held at our college Seminar Hall. Our club President has welcomed the gathering. Our college Principal i/c and also our club advisor Prof. S.H.Afroze has invited as the chief guest. She told that, in 1967 13th March the first Rotaract Club was started. Every year the week of 13th march celebrated the World Rotaract Week. She also talked about the roles of rotaractors and also how to improve our self as well as the society. She said that the purpose of WRW Celebration. Our club Secretary delivered the World Rotaract Week Celebration report.
On 28th March, our club President Rtr.T. Kavya, conducted the board meeting for all of our office bearers. Our club Secretary delivered March Month Report. Our club president discussed about April month programme.
On 10th April, special meeting was arranged for our office bearers. Our staff coordinator informed about the Talent Extravaganza Programme which is going to be conducted for our hostel rotaractors. Work load was allotted for our office bearers.
On 11th April Talent Extravaganza programme was conducted for our hostel rotaractors. Students were actively participated and gave positive feedback to us.
On 12th April, board meeting was arranged for our office bearers. Our club Secretary Rtr.Krishnapriya delivered the year report. The Staff coordinator congratulated the rotaractors for their active performance throughout the year. She wished our office bearers to concentrate on their academic exams and score high marks.

Our club organized the Professional Development Programme – Life Towards Success on 06.10.2017 in our college auditorium. Mrs. M. Indhumathi, Placement officer, DSCASW as the Resource Person.
Our club organized Dengue Awareness Programme on 21.10.2017. Our college Madam Vice Principal felicitated the programme and our members distributed the notice to the students.
Our club members actively participated in the “Women Empowerment Rally” on 24.01.2018 from Perambalur Collectorate to Old Bus Stand. Our district collector inaugurated the Rally.
Our club organized the Literacy Programme on 08.02.2018 for our college sweepers. Our college Madam Vice Principal Prof. S. H. Afroze felicitated the programme.
Our club celebrated theWorld Rotaract Week in a grand manner from 12.03.2018 to 16.03.2018 in our college Seminar Hall. The WRWC programme was inaugurated by our Madam Vice Principal and then followed by the “Health & Hygiene” session was handled by Mrs. R. Sharmila, Asst. Professor in Nutrition and Dietitics.
2nd day of WRWC of our club organized “Women Empowerment and Rights” on 13.03.2018 in our College Seminar Hall. Mrs. S. Devagi, Asst. Professor, Dept. of Tamil, DSCASW, Perambalur was invited as guest speaker.
3rd day of WRWC of our club organized “A Day with You” Programme on 14.03.2018 in Vidyashram School, Senjeri.
4th day of WRWC of our club organized “Benefits of Yoga” on 15.03.2018 in our College Seminar. Mrs. S. Kavitha, was invited as the resource person.
Last day of WRWC of our club arranged “Consumer Awareness” on 16.03.2018 in our college Seminar Hall. Mrs. R. Shanthi, Asst. Professor in Commerce, DSCASW, Perambalur was invited as the resource person.

Karthik Director, has invited as the Chief Guest Rtn. T. Saravanaraj, DRCC and Rtn. S. Senthilkumar, President, Rotary club of Perambalur invited as the Guest of Honour.
Our club organized the Yoga Training Programme on 06.08.2015 in our College Seminar Hall. Mrs. Kavitha, Professor, Manavalakalai Yoga as the Resource Person.
All the Rotaract clubs sponsored by the Rotary Club of Perambalur and the Rotary Club of Perambalur combined to organize the Organ Donation Rally on 13.08.2015 from New Bus Stand to Old Bus Stand, Perambalur. Rtn. D. Ramesh, Asst. Governor was invited as the chief guest.
Our club celebrated Independence Day on 15.08.2015 at Anbagam Home, Perambalur. Mr.D.selvam Founder / Secretary, Read Rural Educational and Action Development, was the Chief Guest.
Our club organized the New Member Induction and Orientation programme on 20.08.2015 in our college auditorium. Rtr.A. Sheerma Vishnu, DRR, R.I. Dist.3000 as the Resource Person.
All part V activities organized Campus Cleaning Programme on 21.08.2015 and 16.10.2015 as a service. Students cleaned the campus and insist the students to keep the campus clean.
Our club members actively participated in the “Electricity Save Week Celebration” Rally on 14.12.2015 from Perambalur New bus stand to J.K. Mahal.
Our club organized the Kanavugal Vasamaga programme on 31.12.2015 in our college auditorium. Mrs. M. Jayanthi, Asst. Professor, Department of Tamil as the Resource Person.
Our club celebrated Republic Day on 26.01.2016 at Vidyasaram School, Senjeri.
Our club organised Literacy Programme on 31.01.2016 in our college sweepers. Our college Madam Principal Prof. S. H. Afroze felicitated the programme.
Our club conducted Aptitude Test on 2.3.2016 for I UG rotaractors in our college Seminar Hall.
Our club celebrated the world rotaract week in a grand manner from 14.03.2016 to 18.03.2016 in our college Seminar Hall. The WRWC programme was inaugurated by our Parent Club President Rtn. S. Senthilkumar on 14.03.2016 and then followed by the “Unnal Mudium” session was handled by Mrs. M. Jayanthi, Asst. Professor in Tamil.
2nd day of WRWC of our club organized “Hygienic Foods” on 15.03.2015 in our College Seminar Hall. Ms. S. Vijayalakshmi, Asst. Professor, Dept. of Bio Chemistry, DSCASW, Perambalur was invited as guest speaker.
3rd day of WRWC of our club organized “A Day with You” Programme on 16.03.2016 in Vidyashram School, Senjeri.
4th day of WRWC of our club organized “Improve Yourself” on 17.03.2016 in our College Seminar. Mr. S. Manickam David Jebakumar, was invited as the resource person.
Last day of WRWC of our club arranged “Business Ethics” on 18.03.2016 in our college Seminar Hall. Mrs. N. Deepalakshmi, Asst. Professor in Business Administration, DSCASW, Perambalur was invited as the resource person.

Our Club organised the Information Technology Awareness Programme on 25.03.2016 in Community Hall, Melapuliyur. Ms. S. Selvakumari, Asst.Prof., DSCASW, Perambalur invited as the Resource Person.
At the outset, our club rotaract members actively participated in all the district events like District Assembly, District RYLA, Rotaract Ryla, Zonal Forums, District Conference,etc.,
Our club President Rtr. S. Mahalakshmi, received the “Miss Ryla” Award in the Rotaract Ryla which was held at Madurai from 23rd September to 25th September 2015.
In the Year 2015 – 2016, Our Club received the Best Literacy Mission Award.

Election of the office bearers programme was held on 30.06.2014. Our college Madam Vice Principal was invited as the chief guest.
Our club 15th installation of the office bearers’ programme was held on 11.07.2014 in our College Auditorium. Rtn. R. Ravi, President, Rotary club of Perambalur was invited as the Chief Guest.
Our club organized the First Aid Training Programme on 12.08.2014 in our College Auditorium. Rtr. G. Dhivya, President, Rotaract Club of DSCASW as the Resource Person.
All the Rotaract clubs sponsored by the Rotary Club of Perambalur and the Rotary Club of Perambalur combined to organize the Plastic Eradication Programme on 13.08.2014 in Old Bus Stand, Perambalur. Rtn. P. Dhandapani, Asst. Governor was invited as the chief guest.
Our club celebrated Independence Day on 15.08.2014 at Anbagam Home, Perambalur. Mr.D.selvam Founder / Secretary, Read Rural Educational and Action Development, was the Chief Guest.
Our club organized the New Member Induction and Orientation programme on 23.08.2014 in our college auditorium. Rtr. AN. Ramalingam, DRR, R.I. Dist.3000 and Rtr. M. Rajagopal, IPDRR, R.I.Dist.3000 as the Resource Persons.

Our club members actively participated in the “Electricity Save Week Celebration” Rally on 19.12.2014 from Perambalur New bus stand to J.K. Mahal.

Our club celebrated Republic Day on 28.01.2015 at Vidyasaram School, Senjeri.
All part V activities organized Campus Cleaning Programme on 04.02.2015 as a service. Students cleaned the campus and insist the students to keep the campus clean.
All part V activities organized “Painting Exhibition” on 23.02.2015 in our College premises. The exhibition was regarding water conservation. Mr. Tamilarasu painting was exhibited to the students.

Our club member Rtr. S. Faritha, received the “Talent Award” in the Rotaract Ryla which was held at Kodaikanal from 23rd September to 25th September 2014.
Our club members actively participated in the Inter College Drama Competition which was held on 06.01.2015 at Sri Saradha College for Women, Perambalur and our club received the Winner Award in that competition.

4	On 11th March 2014, our college rotaractors organised the seminar on &"Role of Youth in Environment". Mr. A.Ramar, Teacher, Govt. Hr.Sec.School, Ammapalayam was invited as the Resource Person.
5	On 10th March 2014, & "Rotaract Week Celebration-Inauguration" was held at our college Auditorium. Dr.Aruna Dinakaran, Principal was invited for the inaugural function. After that, Mrs. Jayashri, Assistant Professor, DSCASW, Perambalur led the session through her topic & "Financial Accounting".

7	On 23rd February, our college rotaractors organized the & "Polio Eradication Programme" at TELC School, Perambalur.Mr.Darez Ahamed, District Collector, Perambalur invited to initiate the programme.

Rtr.Rekha.RM our club Past President was selected as a DRR for the year 2010-2011. She was the first lady DRR and first DRR from the college based Rotaract Club in R.I.Dist. 3000.
